Master Event Lists
To perform a number of event management functions, including adding a new event from scratch, modifying an event, canceling an event, adding multiple dates, and so on, you'll be using the master event lists. You will find these under the "Manage Events" area in the navigation. They are
- Add/Edit Future
- Edit Past
- Edit Cancelled (Past)
Access
Different users will have different levels of access to the master lists.
A club member who is not given any volunteer access will not see these master lists at all, even though they will see the "Coordinate Upcoming" and "Coordinate Past" screens (if they have ever coordinated an event for your organization).
A volunteer without elevated access (set up on the "Volunteer Admin" page) will be able to add and edit only their own events, and only for events in the future.
Some volunteers with elevated access, for example, your executive team, your webmaster, your volunteer coordinator and your content editor, will be able to add and edit anyone's events, and will have some access to modify past and cancelled events.
Features
By default the master lists show everyone's events. Use the "Show My Events" link at the top to filter out other folks' stuff and just see your own events. If the list is showing only your events, use "Show All Events" ato the top to show everything.
Events which are active on the calendar will display their title in regular font. Events which are still in draft mode (not displayed on the calendar) have their titles displayed in italics.
Fields
- ID: The computer-generated ID for the event. This corresponds to the number found at the end of an event details web page address. For example, event 535.
- Date: The date of the event (if the event is on multiple dates, this will be the "begin date" of the event).
- Type: The event type that you chose when you created the event.
- Title: The event title. Clicking on the linked title will display the event details as they'll appear on the calendar.
