Itinerary:
This is to be a telemark only backcountry day. Our destination is the Helen Lake area up the Columbia Icefields highway, this area will allow us numerous objectives, dependant on snow conditons and quality. Leave meeting place by 6:30 to allow plenty of time for skiing.
Required Items to Bring:
Avalanche probe, shove, transceiver, skis, boots, poles, warm clothing, lunch, hot drinks, and additional personal gear you may require. Enthusiastic attitude!

Recommended Items to Bring:
camera, first aid kit, snow study kit

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   We will travel together as a group from car pool location.  
Carpool Departure Time:   06:30 AM
Carpool Location:   Assumption School
Carpool Directions:   Corner of Sarcee Trail and Highway #1.West side of Sarcee Trail, and north of the Transcanada Highway.

Notes:
It would be nice to take only 2 vehicles if possible.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
