Mt. Morrow is the unofficially named high point several km N of
the start of the Doorjam/Loder Ridge; it is the first peak W of the
W peak of Mt. Wendell.
We will scoot up the Yam trail, drop over the NE shoulder, and
angle down into the CMC valley, following the stream W until we
can ascend the scree bowl to the W of West Wendell. Near the
crest of this bowl, we will turn left (W) and make our way to the
crest of the Morrow-Goat-Loder ridge S of Morrow and from
there ascend the ridge back N to the summit of our objective.
Should be mostly trail walking, some light bush, scree, a few
minor cliff bands, and a bid of scrambling near the summit.
Expect to get wet feet from pockets of remaining snow and
perhaps from crossing Wendell Brook. This is lengthy but not
difficult climb, probably 10-12 hrs RT.
We may elect to climb up the higher W col of Yam on our return
in order to advantage of the scree runs S of the face of this peak.
