Over the past 3 years I developed a brand new single pitch climbing crag that nobody knows about - until now! 26 routes ranging from 5.5 to 5.10b, 15-20m pitches, well bolted fun! Easy approach, 25-30min on a good trail. All of the route info is just in my head, there's no mini guidebook available yet! Note this is a brand new crag, you will be the 3rd or 4th person to climb some of these routes - expect some dirt, possible loose rock, etc!
Rough plan would be to meet up in Bragg Creek at about 8:30 and climb until we feel like going home, maybe 2-4PM. Climbers of all skill levels are welcome, feel free to bring friends if you want, I can set up some ropes if you prefer to top-rope. If you want to lead, please bring a rope, draws and a TR anchor. The routes (especially the 5.10s) are well bolted!
If we've never met before, please send me an intro email to brendan714@gmail.com describing your climbing background and whether you'd like to lead or top-rope. I'd like to make sure there's a good mix of participants and climbers with ropes!
Required Items to Bring:
If TR: Harness, helmet, climbing shoes, belay device (grigri preferred)
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
Trip Feedback If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
