Kick off the season with a morning sport climb at the Wasootch crag! The ACC Calgary Section is hosting a sport climbing event on June 6th at 9:00am, and you’re invited to join the fun. Leaders will be there at 8:00 to set up ropes.
This is from the advertising spot on the Summit Shaker site: Experience the thrill of sport climbing in the spectacular setting of Kananaskis Country, where rugged limestone walls, fresh mountain air, and sweeping alpine views add to the invigoration. This day is designed for the general public, with a focus on safety, encouragement, and enjoying the challenge at your own pace. Spend the day at one of Alberta’s most established and scenic crags.
And the day doesn’t end there. Later on, we’ll gather at Grizzly Paw’s BBQ Beer Garden to celebrate the Summit Shaker—a relaxed chance to connect, swap stories, and enjoy some well‑earned food and drinks. Buy tickets and learn more about the event here.
