Itinerary:

Priority will be given to participants in this year's BITS programs. The intention is to go on a tour that utilizes all the skills you've learned in your three BITS trips this season. Ideally, we'll do the Dolomite Circuit, but conditions may dictate otherwise.

Please lookup the Dolomite Circuit before putting yourself on the wait list to make sure it's something you're up for in terms of length, elevation gain, and exposure to avalanche terrain.

If you haven't skied with either of the leaders, send us an email to let us know which BITS group you're in, what you've skied this year, and whether you have AST-1.

Required Items to Bring:

AT Skis or Splitboard, Skins, Poles, Avy Gear (3 Antennae beacon, shovel, probe).

Recommended Items to Bring:

Helmet, warm layers, mittens/gloves, toque, food, water, ski straps, sunglasses/ski goggles, headlamp, sunscreen, camera, FRS radio if you have one, and other gear as per the gear list in the BITS presentation.

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   06:00 AM
Carpool Location:   TBD

ACC Activities – Risks & Hazards

Non-release systems do not reduce injury risk during a fall and increase the risk of not surviving an avalanche.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
