Thursday evening climbing at the Hanger! If you have any specific training goals or objectives for the evening, please write it down in the notes section when signing up so I can help pair you to member(s) with similar goals, or do what I can to support you.
For those that do not have memberships or punch passes, the Hanger is offering the ACC a discounted rate of $18 for a day pass, payable when checking in (valid between 6 PM to 8 PM) on the event day). All they are asking for is proof of membership.
We will meet at the top of the stairs of the climbing area (on the main floor by the bouldering area) at 7 PM for greetings, waiver signing (for guests), etc. I will have a blue clipboard and will hang around the top of the stairs until ~7:10 PM after which you can find us in the climbing area. Everyone is welcome!
For those new to the Calgary Climbing Centre (CCC) that want to belay as well as climb, you will need to pass a belay test. However if you are just climbing, no test is needed (just make sure you're in a group of three!).
For an additional gym training offering with the ACC, Katherine and Juergen are leading climbing evenings weekly on Sundays at the Rocky Mountain location. Please see the calendar for more details.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
Trip Feedback If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
