Come join us at the Sequoia Supply shop on Wednesday March 5, for another Sequoia Supply Backcountry Beta session. Come anytime after 6:45pm to socialize and network - the presentations will start at 7:00pm and aim to wrap up the evening by 9pm.
The topic of the evening is; Radical Ropes Clinic - with Neil Warren (ACMG Ski Guide and CAA Avalanche Professional)
PRESENTATION: Neil Warren (@neilwarrenskiguiding) is an ACMG Ski Guide and CAA Avalanche Professional based out of Calgary, and is also the owner, designer and main craftsman at local mountain gear company Alpine Threadworks (@alpinethreadworks), and also Alpine Endurance (@alpine_endurance), which is science based endurance training designed to help backcountry skiers/splitboarders and mountain bikers realize their fitness goals.
Neil is going to provide an evening clinic focusing on the following: Rope skills for ski mountaineering including; modern techniques for rappelling / lowering (into couloirs), belaying techniques for steep slope investigations, cutting cornices etc. This is not a crevasse rescue course, it is a rope skills intro for those looking to get into more advanced terrain.
This clinic is aimed at all skill levels, ranging from beginners to experienced mountain backcountry enthusiasts. All are welcome, no experience or gear necessary.
