Itinerary:

This trip is self guided and self catered, everybody is expected to help with gear, hut maintenance, avalanche evaluation and route finding. AST2 is preferred. 

Itinerary:
Arriving at Radium on 19th of January, the night before, staying at local hotel.

Leaving Radium hotel at 6:00am on 20th of January, driving to the trailhead for sunrise to get snowmobiles set-up with gear, organize sled ride.

Snowmobile to Summer Trailhead 24 km, cca 1.5hr, if everything goes smoothly.

Leave snowmobiles and skin-up into the hut from Summer Trailhead.

Staying at the hut for 4 nights, skiing 5 days (including skiing in and out).

Note: if avalanche conditions are not favorable the stay may be shortened.

Cost: 546$ for the hut (this cost is for all 4 nights and will be split among all 6 people), cost of gas for the snowmobiles cca 20$ per person, plus cost for one night stay at the hotel in Radium. Deposit of 100$ will be required. Don't pay while on waiting list, only once you are added to the trip. 

Note: We only have 2 snowmobiles, expect to be possibly towed/pulled behind the machine (you will not be required to wear a pack doing so).

Deposit is not refundable, as long as the trip takes place


Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
