Itinerary:

Come out on Tuesday evening to check out a brand new sport climbing crag I've developed!  There are 5 single pitch routes and 3 multi-pitch (2 pitch) routes, all easy slab climbing in the 5.5 to 5.8 grade range.  I need your help to determine grades, count bolts, figure out pitch lengths and maybe even suggest some route names! The crag is within 45 min of the city limits and has a 5-10 minute approach.

All skill levels are welcome, although we would like 1 or 2 more experienced climbers to join to help lead and provide grade feedback, if possible. If you're looking for experience top-roping outside, trying your hand at multi-pitch climbing or maybe want to try your first lead, this is a great spot to do it. If you're an experienced climber and want to check out a brand new crag and suggest a name for a route, come on out!

You must have the required gear listed below and experience top rope belaying (ie passed your top rope belay test at an indoor gym), at a minimum.  If we've never met you before, please send us a brief email stating your climbing experience to brendan714@gmail.com and garnergraeme@gmail.com

Carpool in Valley Ridge, meetup 5:15 PM on Tuesday.

Required Items to Bring:

Harness, Helmet, Rock shoes, Belay device (grigri/ATC) at a minimum.

If you plan on multipitch climbing, add on 2 locking carabiners, a personal anchor and a prusik for rappelling down.

If you plan on leading, add on a 60m rope, 8-10 quickdraws and a toprope anchor setup.

Recommended Items to Bring:

Water, snacks, possibly sunscreen and bugspray
