Itinerary: |
A mid-week cold spell is forecast next week, so let's take advantage of that before the skis get stored for the summer. This is an overnight (two-day) ski mountaineering trip to attempt Mt. Joffre. Even with it spread over two days, there is significant distance and elevation to cover both days. In addition to winter camping (hopefully keeping our loads light), there is glacier travel and the potential for some climbing. You will need to have training/experience in glacier travel/rescue and ski mountaineering/alpine climbing. Get in touch if you have questions. If you register, please send me a message with an overview of your relevant experience and training. There will be a mandatory virtual pre-trip meeting on Sunday April 28 at 7 PM. The dates may be shifted to Wednesday-Thursday if weather/conditions dictate.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
