Itinerary:

ROCK REVIEW is an annual season-opener event. The review is an opportunity for beginners to get their feet under them and receive some mentorship, for members to socialize and join one another on climbs, and to thaw out our iced-over rock skills in prep for the upcoming climbing season!

*The information below is for those who are going to be camping, please sign up below to guarantee your spot for camping.   You can participate in the day events without camping, though a huge part of Rock Review is the social element and gathering around in the evening at the campground sharing stories and experience.

Trip Leaders will be posting climbing opportunities separately from the camping event - you will need to sign up for these events independently - these will be posted closer to the event date*

ACCOMMODATIONS: We have booked camping at Canoe Meadows Group Campground.  Tents and RVs can both be accommodated, there is no power though for RVs to plug into.

**You need to bring your OWN DRINKING WATER and FOOD for the evening and climbing days**

SCHEDULE:

Friday (after 5pm): Come out to Canoe Meadows Group Campground and hang with the group if you'd like.

Saturday AM: Top ropes will be set up in a local area. Come out for some top rope fun or head out with your own buddies for a day on the rock. Check the event calendar for other day-trip events as well.

Saturday PM: More hangout time at the campsite while people make their own dinners; campfire, drinks and shenanigans to follow!

Sunday AM: More fun on the rock. In addition to the trips posted for Sunday, there are usually some plans made Saturday night. A top rope area may be set up, depending on interest and availability of volunteers.

PAYMENTS:  The cost is $54 per camping unit; (1 x tent or 1 x rv) for the 2 nights.

When you register please email Clare (clareormerod@hotmail.co.uk) and Chelsea (cldarrach@outlook.com) to let them know how many nights you are camping and who you are sharing a unit with.  We don't want to be chasing people up for camping payments if they're sharing with someone who has paid for a unit.

Unfortunately, we can't add 2 different PayPal buttons to offer payment for 1 or 2 nights.   If you are only staying 1 night you can either pay for the 2 and we will organise a refund.  Or, you can do an e-transfer to the Treasurer using the password rockreview.  However, if a refund is due this would have to be sent as a cheque and can take up to a couple of weeks.

LEADERS: Leaders will post trips independent of the camping.  Expect some group TR/cragging events for all levels as well multi-pitch objectives.

MINORS: We welcome participants of all ages, those 16 and under must attend with a parent or other designated adult. All minors (18 and under) should contact the leaders when signing up.

QUESTIONS: as usual, please email questions to any of the leaders or the climbing chair (Chelsea, cldarrach@outlook.com) or clareormerod@hotmail.co.uk
