Itinerary:
  • 20 hours of instruction from Rocky Mountain Adventure Medicine (4 hours on Friday evening, 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday)
  • includes certification for Basic (formerly Emergency) First Aid (for work, if needed) plus Remote first aid components
  • Fully updated course content and resources, including a take-home Wilderness & Remote Field Guide filled with pictures, protocols, and the latest techniques.
  • Learning activities and scenarios with real-life situations specifically designed for wilderness and remote environments.
  • Sure it's in November but what else do you have to do during your shoulder season?  You may as well get certified...I think it would be better done when potentially cold in grey bird weather so if something does happen that requires first aid on a bluebird windless day, you'll be in a better mindset.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
