Fitness/Skill Expectations: You must be prepared for a long day in the mountains and experienced with difficult scrambing.
You should be prepared to ascend and descend about 1,200 m of elevation gain over 20km.
Logistics: The plan is to drive to the Ghosts on Friday Afteroon, Camp in the Ghosts Public land (You are resposble of your Public Land Camping Pass), climb Cathedral Mountain on Saturday, drive back home in the evening.
Screening: Event attendees will be screened to ensure they have the necessary skills and experience to complete this climb. Sign-up is not first come first served, and attendees will be selected at the discretion of the trip leader.

Weather: The forecast for Saturday looks currently good. Days are becoming shorter so we will probably start early on Saturday to give us enough time.
Please bring some water shoes/runners to cross the 3 river crossings in the morning and in the night without taking on and off your boots/approach shoes.
I will bring a rope and a small rack.

Waiver: Everyone attending this event will be required to sign the
ACC Waiver
at the beginning of the event. Read the waiver carefully to ensure you fully
understand it. If possible, please print and fill it out except for
the signature fields before arriving at the event.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
