Itinerary:

 The Rock Rescue 201 course is for anyone who has taken the RR 101 course or for anyone who already has already taken a course and is comfortable with the basic techniques. The focus of this day will be on scenarios and practice.

This day will involve more complicated scenarios and deal with how to extract you and your partner from a multipitch scenario. Lowers, raises and counterbalance / tandem rappels.

Cost : 187.5 (175 plus gst and paypal fees)

To register for this course, first sign up for the waitlist/screening list. Then, contact Julie Morter to confirm you meet the pre-requisites (Competency with basic rock rescue skills)

Once Julie has approved you for the course, you will be able to pay directly on the event page. Payment is required to confirm your spot on the course.

Notes:
The course will be taught by Sarah Hueniken, a full ACMG Alpine Guide. Sarah Hueniken has been living and guiding in Canmore for more than 15 years. As a full ACMG Alpine guide, she spends her summers guiding rock and alpine and her winters guiding ice and mixed routes. Having climbed for over 20 years, Sarah has traveled and worked in various places throughout the US, Mexico, South America and Asia to explore the mountains of the world. Highlights have included a first ascent of a 6000m peak bordering Tibet (Sachun 5.10+ M5), new ice lines in Iceland, participating in various climbing competitions and achieving a personal goal of climbing 5.13. Sarah also works with Chicks with Picks, NOLS, and is an Arcteryx

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
