A classic ski mountaineering ascent. This trip has a little of everything: skiing uphill, bootpacking, glacier travel, and fantastic views. If avalanche conditions or the weather doesn't cooperate another destination may be substituted. If conditions allow a descent down the keyhole may be possible.

You should have AST 1. A sufficiently high level of fitness is needed - the trip is 1620m and 20km. You should be able to ski double diamond level terrain at the ski hill in difficult conditions: wind effected snow, powder, spring snow (hard or heavy & wet), etc. Glacier travel will be required.

To sign up for this event, please add yourself to the waiting list and email XXXXXXX your previous experience.

Once you are approved, please make payment using the PayPal button below. You will then be moved to the participants list.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Clare and she'll get straight back to you.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines! *Note: Once payment has been received by the treasurer you will be moved to the confirmed list. There will be no refund for cancellations. Courses will run regardless of weather unless the guide deems conditions unsafe then a back-up option may be executed. This is to be decided by the guide the evening before.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
