I'll decide on a destination later in the week depending on conditions, with the intention to choose something appropriate for BITS participants with 600 m to 900 m elevation gain and maximum 15 km roundtrip. The pace will be slow to moderate and the objective is to get out and enjoy a fun day in the mountains.
We'll meet at the Petro-Canada station at the Trans-Canada/Highway 22 junction between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., depending on where we end up going. After a gear check, we'll head out and do a morning meeting at the trailhead.
The trip may not be completely filled and it won't necessarily be "first come, first served" from the waitlist
If you are adding yourself to the waitlist, please fill out the following form and email it to me. This helps me put together a group of like-minded skiers who are suited in ability, risk tolerance and motivation. https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ap-z15R7yjNBg_IKsm6xOGYuxC0sRg?e=4A77rQ
The carpool location can be flexible based on where people are coming from and preferences.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
Trip Feedback If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
