Itinerary: |
This is a women's mentorship group event- priority will be given to women interested in attending. Another mid-week ice climbing day. Plan A would be bear spirit, but this could change depending on ice conditions and weather- we need some of the main curtain to be full touching down. Otherwise, I will pick somewhere else that gets busy on weekends, so that we can take advantage of the weekday timing. Participants need to be comfortable top rope belaying, ideally with at least one person who can lead belay.
If you haven't climbed with me before, please send me a short summary of your ice climbing experience and general experience with heavy packs/crampons being outside all day in the winter. Beginners are welcome, but the more I know about the group the better I can decide around weather, or potentially increasing the group size a bit if we get lots of experienced people.

Required Items to Bring: |
Everyone will need crampons, mountaineering boots, helmets, harnesses, belay device etc. If you don't own ice axes there may be potential to share/borrow, reach out to me and we can discuss.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
