Itinerary:

Trip plan: Carpool/Travel from YYC around 6 am. Follow moderate Kane's moderate scramble route expected 7-8 hours. Return home to YYC

Fitness/Skill Requirements:  Must be fit and able to ascend ~1200m at a moderate steady pace. Capable scrambling 3rd class terrain with light dusting of snow high up on the mountain likely.

Required Items to Bring:

Helmet, layers, food, water, sun protection, sturdy boots, sunscreen, microspikes.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:  

Carpool or meet at Lake Louise townsite or similar to convoy. Drive 20km up Icefields parkway to pullout on west side of the road. 

 
Carpool Departure Time:   06:15 AM
Carpool Location:   Highway 22 & 1 Petro Canada near the highway 22 entrance
Carpool Directions:   Going westbound on Highway 1 take northbound exit on Highway 22. Take the immediate left turn onto the service road heading down the hill toward the petro-can. We will meet at the top of the hill there.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
