Hoping to take advantage of good weather and dry rock in Rogers Pass over the long weekend. The objective(s) will depend on conditions, bivy/camping options and the group, but generally the aim is to get in a longer alpine rock route / traverse. Some glacier travel is possible so crevasse rescue training and proficiency is a must. The first person who signs up isn't necessarily going to be added on. The group size may be increased to three, but to start with it's set at two. You need to be able to put in long days with significant elevation gain/loss and continuous movement. That includes the ability to move efficiently up and down third, fourth and mid-fifth class terrain and steep snow. If we've never been out together on an alpine / multi-pitch rock climb I may be in touch for additional information on your experience. The plan is to drive out on Saturday morning, but a Friday night departure is possible if it makes more sense. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
