Itinerary:

Trip plan: Day trip up 5.3 East Ridge + descend walk off West ridge. Expect a long day.

Flexible to attempt on either Monday or Tuesday depending on other participants availability/weather conditions (ideally picking the better day). Trip will only run with forecasted dry conditions.

Fitness/Skill Requirements:  Must be fit and able to ascend ~1600-1800m at a moderate steady pace. Capable to offer belay and comfortable with scrambling 3rd and 4th terrain. Crux goes at 5.3 and we can climb it roped. Descend via West Ridge.

Required Items to Bring:

Helmet, Harness, Ice axe, crampons, Layers, Food, Water, Sunglasses, hat etc. Full gear list shared with group participants.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
