Itinerary:

Join up for a mid-week scramble to get the fitness back for summer mountaineering.


Scramble up East Peak of Mount Wendell at a moderate pace. Will follow Nugara's description from "More scrambles in the Canadian Rockies". Option to do West Ridge "difficult scramble" on the way in & descend the "easy" south ridge or do the south ridge route both directions depending on the group.  ~1200 m elevation gain.  7-8 hour day. 


Not planning a carpool at this point but the tentative schedule is to meet at Yamnuksa at 830 am. Trip will only run if the weather is appropriate. 

If we don't know each other yet send me a quick email with your experience and we can make sure the trip is a good fit.

Required Items to Bring:

Helmet, backpack with layers, food, water, sunscreen, sturdy boots.  Depending route choice a harness. Will go through a more thorough gear list with participants.

Camera, Hiking Poles, Bear Spray

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
