Itinerary:

Short notice trip!  We will meet at Sandy McNabb (at the top by the road) at 9:45 and walk a couple km up the river to a cool, WI 2 ice flow where March creek flows into the Sheep river.  The plan will be to walk up and around at March creek to the top of the flow and set up a toprope anchor, but someone who wants to lead is welcome to climb up from the bottom instead.  It will be a chill day with a few laps on some easy ice, and probably back to the car early afternoon (depending on how long set up and tear down takes).  New ice climbers with some experience are welcome, but if you haven't climbed with me before, send me an email (foxycanuck@gmail.com) with your experience.

Required Items to Bring:

Ice tools, climbing crampons, climbing boots, helmet, personal gear (belay device, whatever biners, slings, cord etc. you usually bring)

Recommended Items to Bring:

Ice screws if you want to lead or practice with them, a rope (might be able to fit 2 in the site), stool/pack chair for hanging out.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
