** Participants must be fully vaccinated **

It will be a moderate day aiming for <= 800m gain and probably no more than 15km distance, depending on location/approach.  With current conditions, the focus is less likely to be on turns and more on getting up & enjoying the mountains.  Possible locations include Purple Mound, Engadine Burn, Sunshine Backcountry.

If I have not skied with you before and you are not registered in BITS, it is strongly suggested that you email me with a brief ski/outdoors resume so I am aware of your experience, avalanche training and ski ability.  Please also ensure that your calendar settings are set so that your info can be seen in the directory.

Mandatory: Transceiver (digital 2+ antennae), snow shovel, probe, backcountry ski gear, and knowledge of how to use them (AST1 minimum), helmet, food and drink, warm clothing, headlamp.

Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
