The Women’s Mountain Mentorship Group exists to address the underrepresentation of women in outdoor pursuits and the personal, social, cultural and other barriers that cause this reality. This is not a gender exclusive group, but we do create events that ensure women can access mentorship, partnership & learning in an environment where they are not the minority and can expect a supportive learning environment.
Hike Wasootch Ridge in Kananaskis (Highway 40). The steep part is at the beginning and then you walk along the ridge. 9:00 Meet in the parking lot to sign waivers and get organized. Begin the hike by 9:15 am. Slow climb up the steep part (which is at the beginning) and hike along the ridge as long as we like and are comfortable. It is not my intention to do the entire ridge. trailpeak.com
I am not concerned at all about speed - we will take our time and enjoy the beautiful weather at a comfortable and relaxed pace.
I am concerned about ice - microspikes will be required on this hike. Please do not sign up if you do not have appropriate spikes for potential icy trails.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
