Itinerary: |
If you are feeling a bit rusty fear not, the plan is to work on our belaying, climbing and "reading" the route. It doesn't matter if you are a newbie, regular climber, or you crush 5.11's you are welcome to join in. The #1 goal is safety; #2 having fun; #3 meeting new friends; #4 climbing.
|
Required Items to Bring: |
Harness, rock shoes or not (personally I like all the help I can get), belay device, locking carabiner. All of which can be rented there.
|
|
Recommended Items to Bring: |
Shorts, T-shirt, water, and a hearty snack. If you don't get time for dinner, food can be purchased there.

How to Get There: |
Event Directions: |

I won't lie, with all the construction around 16th Ave it is a real pain in the posterior to find the gym if you are going there for the first time. Basically head West on 16th Ave; take the Right-hand turnoff for Valley Ridge; go around the Traffic Circle; take 7th Ave (crossing under 16th Ave); Left/East at "T"on 1st Ave ; around the Traffic Circle; West on West Valley Road; gym is on the Right. I would strongly recommend you have a look on good old Google Maps.

Notes: |
Please send me a very brief statement about your belaying for both top roping and lead ie: "I'm a bit rusty", or " I'm ok", or "I'm rock solid 100%" The3thing@gmail.com

It is totally NOT COOL to cancel at the last moment. Myself and other coordinators have heard all the excuses, so if you are not serious about attending don't sign up.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
