Itinerary:

Let's go snowshoeing in Kananaskis!  This trip is geared towards beginner or intermediate snowshoers, but any level of experience is welcome.  We will head out for a moderate day of fun snowshoeing, around 4-6 hours out.  We'll be hiking at an easy/moderate pace, with the goal being to explore & have fun, not break speed records.

Our destination will be determined closer to the date of our trip, but potential options include Rummel Lake, Chester Lake, or Burstall Pass.  I'm also open to suggestions :).

Required Items to Bring:

Snowshoes & poles, warm clothing, food, water, mask, hand sanitizer.

We will be sticking to either non-avalanche or simple avalanche terrain.  If we travel in avalanche terrain, we will carry avi gear.  If participants don't have avi gear or training, we'll avoid avalanche terrain entirely.

Participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to participate in this event.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

If you must cancel, please let me know ASAP.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
