Itinerary:

First things first:

- This is NOT a trip for BITS participants

- BITS leaders are not required to attend (not a part of the BITS leader program)

- This is not an instructional trip

- This is an informal outing for BITS leaders and co-leaders (and other aspirant leaders as space allows)

 The aim is to:

- Get time on the skis/splits before the first BITS trips

- Meet other BITS leaders

- Share knowledge and lessons learned for effective BITS trips

- Provide opportunities for co-leaders/leaders to practice skills and gain confidence, if desired

 What's involved:

- A virtual planning meeting (~60 min) before the trip (to be scheduled)

- A 30 minute 'morning meeting' - probably virtually on the Friday evening

- A day out on the board(s)

Required Items to Bring:

Group gear will be decided and assigned at the virtual planning meeting. Please ask any questions you have about personal gear - otherwise I will be assuming you know what you need. Ok I'll say it; beacon, shovel, probe are required. And full COVID vaccination.

Notes:

Do the snow dance so we have something to slide on.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
