Itinerary:
AMP 1-2: Mt Cline 11000er

For this AMP event we will be heading to the David Thompson Corridor.

This mentorship event is part of the AMP (Alpine Mentorship Program) organized by ACC Calgary Section jointly with ACMG Mountain Guide Brent Peters from PeakSTRATAGEM.

This is an AMP 1-2 event and is suitable for beginner to intermediate mountaineers who have been on several scramble routes prior and have some level of climbing experience. A bivvy will be utilized to make the summit day more manageable and work on overnight skills. These members have experience on 4th class terrain and are looking to add in some slightly more technical climbing.

The cost for this event is $275 and includes 2 days of mentorship with an ACMG guide from PeakSTRATAGEM.

The focus will be on developing safe skills for summer trip planning and navigation as well as managing 5th class terrain. Participants will also have the opportunity to create and execute white out navigation plans. Focus will be on safe travel rather than on summits.

This is your chance to start taking on more of a leadership role while under the mentorship and coaching of an alpine guide.

Itinerary: We will meet at location TBC on the Sunday and head to the DTC then hike to the bivvy spot. The plan would be a very early start on the Monday to attempt Cline then return to the bivvy, pack up, and head out.

There will be no refund for cancellations. Courses will run regardless of weather unless the guide deems conditions unsafe then a back-up option may be executed. This is to be decided by the guide the evening before.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement.
