Yay, we have 5 tent only campsites at Chinook campground in the Crowsnest Pass over the May long weekend. What, how is that even possible? The idea is to go bouldering for 3 days, but there’s lots to do there, including, sport climbing, multi pitch climbing, biking, scrambling, etc. We can spontaneously decide to split up, depending on weather and what people want to do. Please sign up as a cohort group and priority will be given to families. Parents can then share child care between bouldering or other attempts. We’re allowed one group of cohorts per camp site, so the total number of participants will vary. The total cost for camping will be $320 which will be split evenly between the number of participants, not including the 2 organizers and the number of children. For now, the Alberta Government can only guarantee one tent per site, but after May 18th, we can contact the campsite directly, to verify more tents per site. However, they do allow for up to 6 people per site. Please send us a quick note on your cohort group, activities you are interested in, your experience (beginners are fine for bouldering, but basic knowledge is required for other activities). Note that there will be no car pooling outside of cohort groups, so we can all meet at the campsite. Note that we allow guests, but the trip description won’t allow us to include guests for pre-screened trips. Please get ahold of us if you want to include any guests.

-Climbing shoes & Chalk for bouldering
-Climbing gear (rope, helmet, harness, draws, etc.)
for sport and multipitch
- Camping gear (tents)
-Food!
-Rain Gear - weather is always unpredictable

Crash pad, mountain bike, etc.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
