This mentorship event is
part of the AMP (Alpine
Mentorship)
program organized by the ACC Calgary Alpine Chair
jointly with
ACMG Guide Brent Peters and PeakStratagem.
A classic ski mountaineering ascent. This trip has a little of everything: skiing uphill, bootpacking, glacier travel, and fantastic views. If avalanche conditions or the weather doesn't cooperate another destination may be substituted. If conditions allow a descent down the keyhole may be possible.
You should have AST 1. A sufficiently high level of fitness is needed - the trip is 1620m and 20km. You should be able to ski double diamond level terrain at the ski hill in difficult conditions: wind effected snow, powder, spring snow (hard or heavy & wet), etc. Glacier travel will be required.
To sign up for this event, please add yourself to
the waiting list and
email Clare (clareormerod@hotmail.co.uk) your previous
experience.
Once you are approved, please make payment using the PayPal button below. You will
then be moved to the participants list. If
you have any
questions please feel free to contact Clare and she'll get straight back to you.

Please review our participant responsibility
guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
