Itinerary:

Day trip skiing in Rogers Pass. Staying in Golden Saturday and Sunday night. You are responsible for finding you own accommodations. Sunday we will ski Rogers Pass. Monday we will either head back to Rogers Pass if conditions are good. Or ski something closer to home on the way back. Mondays plan will be made the evening before based on the group. Skiing Monday is not a requirement since I have one keen that day already.

If conditions allow we will plan to ski the Tupper Traverse (or similar objective) on Sunday.

Prerequisites: AST 1, crevasse rescue training, intermediate to advanced level of fitness allowing you to move through mountain terrain, ability to do 1800m elevation gain day (total for Tupper Traverse), ability to confidently ski in the backcountry in all weather conditions, and at least some previous experience leading groups is an asset.

Required Items to Bring:

Ski touring kit, glacier travel kit, base layers, warmth layers, hardshell pants/coat, softshell pants/coat, hut booties, sleeping bags, change of clothes, sunglasses, avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel.  Hand sanitizer, gloves, mask.  If you have any questions or not sure what you need just ask.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
