Itinerary:

Ski tour near Highwood Pass this Sunday.  We'll socially distance, but please bring a mask for any stops you make and if we need to get close.

We found a cool zone last weekend with good snow, no tracks, and more lines I would like to ski, so I plan to go back :)

We'll target a medium pace and 1000m to 1200m of elevation gain.

Conditions are early season, the snow depth ranges from almost nothing at road side to ~70cm at upper TL.  But, the crusts within the snowpack generally made travel pretty good.  We didn't hit many, but there are still sharks around, so slow(er) skiing and rock skis are recommended.

Required Items to Bring:
Ski touring gear: skis, skins, layers, beacon, probe, shovel, lunch, water, etc.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Helmet, avalanche air bag, rock skis (which I don't have)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

We won't have a car pool because of COVID. If you really don't have a car or a ride we can email to the group and see if we can get you a ride.

We will meet at the Tim Hortons Parking lot at the Casino at the Junction of Highway 40 and Highway 1 at 7:30 am

Carpool Departure Time:   06:30 AM
Carpool Location:   TBD

If we haven't skied together a couple of times please send me some info about yourself: name, cell number, how well you ski, how fit you are, previous experience, courses.  If you like you can use a form located here (download it and email to me): LINK
