Itinerary:

I've heard good things about conditions, considering its November, so the plan is to go skiing somewhere....  Probably around Highway 40S in K-Country because it will close soon.

We'll target a medium pace and 1000m to 1200m of elevation gain.

Plan on early season conditions, perhaps some exploration (bush whacking, poor skin tracks, maybe some walking) and potentially lots of tracks by those who have beat us there, or maybe limited turns and more of a tour day, we'll all be surprised! The main goal just being to get out and look around.

Required Items to Bring:
Ski touring gear: skis, skins, layers, beacon, probe, shovel, lunch, water, etc.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Helmet, avalanche air bag, rock skis (which I don't have)

Notes:

If we haven't skied together a couple of times please send me some info about yourself: name, cell number, how well you ski, how fit you are, previous experience, courses.  If you like you can use a form located here (download it and email to me): LINK

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
