Do you want to get involved in the Alpine
Mentorship Program (AMP) or just simply want to
know more about it?
Join this virtual session to learn about the program, ask questions, find out the dates for trips and how you can get a discounted price by helping to co-ordinate an AMP event. We have events planned for this summer. You can also ask questions directly of Peak Stratagem guide, Brent Peters, who has been involved with AMP for past 3 years. Brent Peters is an IFMGA Mountain Guide
certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides and
is the founder of PeakSTRATAGEM and PeaksEAT as well as
as well as the writer for the ice climbing book, Icelines. This
event is open to all
members and non- members.
There are already some trips that have been
planned that you can take over organizing and
get a discount (by helping out)! Come and see what cool
events will be coming up that you can
participate in if you don't fee like organizing
anything. Bring your calendar!
Agenda:
1) 7:00 - 7:30 Explain what AMP is, how you
can participate, how do you get a good deal on
events and what you need to do if you want to
organize any events. 2) 7:30 - 8:00 Go through list of trips currently available and brainstorm new ones.
3) If you
want to co-ordinate one of the trips, we can assign it to you right at the event and it is all yours!
4) Paper work and other bits.

Notes: |
About you: You are keen to get involved with the
Alpine Club as a participant or trip organizer. Maybe
you don't want to lead trips in the future, but are missing some skills to do ski, ice or other alpine trips.
Or, maybe you just want to get affordable
alpine experience.
|
|
Existing trip leaders are welcome to attend if
they
would like to share their experience and are
keen
to
help attendees become trip organizers.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
