Course Content:
This is a great course for anyone with some navigation understanding who wants to step it up and dive into the digital world and the GAIA App specifically.
GAIA is a great app that is used by a majority of serious backcountry travellers, guides, professionnels. It is free to download and use and offers multiple functionalities that a modern GPS would offer.

May be you have it on your cell phone already and only use it to see "where you are" but you are unsure of all it has to offer?
You want to plan routes and trips in the backcountry for the ACC, your friends & family but are unsure how? Or you feel intimidated by electronics and the digital world but your are curious and willing to know!? Then this course if for you!

The course is designed to take place at two different times: we will spend one evening (2hrs) via web conference to dig into the GAIA navigation App, how to plan a trip and transfer waypoints from the comfort of your living-room.

At the end of the session, you will get some homework to practice what you've learned then we will meet another time in person (Yay!) to go in the field for a practice day - field day on snowshoes in the Spray Lakes Valley in K-Country.
The skills you will gain with this course will make you 100% more confident planning a new route and venturi into the backcountry with friends and families.
