Itinerary:
Same as previous years, except this year the group size is smaller and it’s a lot more complicated for COVID 19 reasons. Please read the Calgary Section Protocols, http://www.acccalgary.ca/calgary-section-protocols/, and print and sign a waiver/declaration of health, http://www.acccalgary.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/ACC-Waiver-2020.pdf, before you arrive. We’ll meet at the parking for Valley Ridge Outdoor Rink, 170 Valley Meadow Close NW for car pooling among trusted friend groups, waiver collecting, instructions, etc. before we head out. Note that the leaders are all volunteers and we all want to do this safely. Everything else is as before: 4:45 pm - Meet at the parking for Valley Ridge Outdoor Rink, 5:00 pm - leave the meeting area - we need all the daylight we have, 6:00 pm - arrive at the trail head, 6:30 pm – climbing, Dusk -Pack up the ropes, have a "refreshment" in the parking lot with everyone else, then head home Night -Get back to town and dream about climbing Note that if 4:45 is too early, you can meet us at the crag. We will be bringing the cooler for the après climbing review and social. We're almost out of extra refreshments, so please bring your own beer or whatever to put in the cooler until the apres Climb Activity. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will be cancelling the evening with no plans to go to the gym. In previous years we were more casual in terms of attendees just showing up, but this summer we'll have to be more strict.
Required Items to Bring:
Helmet (strictly required - no helmet - no climbing), harness, locking carabiner, belay device, rock shoes.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Sport climbing gear, draws etc., your own rope (if you don't mind other people top roping on it, we will also be bringing enough club ropes and anchors), water, snacks, camera. Apparently one of the trip leaders likes Oreos.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons.
