Itinerary:
Cost: $136.25 (this includes tax) for one day of instruction. DATE Sept. 20, 2020 Course Content: This course is aimed at scramblers, rock climbers and mountaineers who want to learn about short- roping and short- pitching techniques to deal with 3rd-, 4th- and easy-5th-class terrain. Topics will include rope management, assessing terrain features, various body belays, terrain belays, natural anchors and application of techniques on changing rock terrain.

Prerequisites: Participants should have some experience scrambling and/or mountaineering and be able to move over 3rd-, 4th- and easy- 5th-class terrain with confidence.
Required Items to Bring:
Details will be provided before the trip by Sean.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Warm clothes (expect to stand around and listen/learn) and then participate.

Cancellation Policy as of March 2017 : If a participant is unable to attend a course or paid trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. The Calgary Section of the Alpine Club of Canada is a not for profit / flow through course and trip provider. We organize courses and trips based on member demand and divide any costs that we incur between event attendees. In other words, we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
