A week of skiing based at the iconic ACC Kokanee Glacier Cabin. This is backcountry luxury in one of the most desirable ski terrain of Canada. Yes, the Calgary Section secured the Cabin for our members. You have heard about the cabin, the stoke, terrain, fun and memories for years. Join us!

A full review of Kokanee Cabin can be found here: https://www.backcountryskiingcanada.com/Kokane e-Glacier-Cabin-Review

The trip is self guided, with catering and meals TBD by the start of the 2020-2021 ski season. Further details surrounding meal planning "buddies:, travel logistics, what to bring and not to bring will be provided to those attending.

The cabin is FIFO fly-in, fly out, and flights are Saturday.  Plan on a day of travel before and after to get from Calgary to Nelson. Weather conditions could impact flying conditions so please keep this in mind.

This is prime time for winter season for Kokanee (read possiblee great snowpack, high stoke and fresh tracks, the base is typically 2m at this time).

The cabin is by far the most comfortable, well appointed, "luxurious" and nicest of the ACC huts with electricity and running water (including shower). Wow, that is fantastic

Ski terrain includes tree-line and alpine with a mix of objectives. The skiing is world famous.

We will have multiple trip leaders with a goal of multiple objectives each day based on skill, weather, your preferences, and speed of travel. One day could be dawn to dusk where others could be brunch and a few laps.

Festivity night - you bet, but sorry, no midnight skiing by headlamp.

The cost for the hut accommodations and flight is $1,100 per person if paying by EFT (email) or $1,120 using PayPal inclusive of the service fee. A reasonable meals and catering option may be considered closer to the trip depending on participant feedback (TBD Sept/Oct 2020) and the cost of such would be separate.

A portion of the fee goes to support trip coordinators.

Please wait until after the Trip Coordinator has responded to you with regards to your eligibility to pay for the trip.

If you haven't skied with me or any of the Trip Coordinators, please email Ryan Brun at "brun.ryan@gmail.com" including a brief outline on your ski touring abilities and experience. Our goal is to accommodate a variety of skier abilities through individual daily groups. That said, to keep a smile on your face, be comfortable skiing variable snow and weather conditions.

Payment can be made via e-transfer to the Treasurer at treasurerClub@acccalgary.ca along with the following information: Name, Full Address with postal code, phone number, email, event title and date, trip leader/coordinator and the password to accept the payment.
