This trip will be an adventure and will only happen with cooperative weather. It involves potentially bad roads and winter camping. If you are interested, please send me a note describing your equipment/experience (including for winter camping). You don't need to be an expert ice climber, just up for an adventure.
If you have helped me with figuring out some logistics, location details etc. you will get priority if you want to come on this trip.
We will drive out to ram falls, camp and climb for 3 days and then drive home. Routes range from WI2 to WI 4. We will do group dinners but all other food will be individual.
This trip is aimed at people who either have gear and can lead routes (routes start at 2, so you don't have to lead hard) or people who are coordinating with a partner who can lead. I have never been to ram falls and am unsure of conditions, so there will be no organized top ropes or anything. It will be 3 days of choose your own adventure with other fun people.
It is important that you have appropriate winter camping gear and clothing, because there is nowhere to go inside. You have to generally be able to keep yourself warm for 3 days. The goal will be to have everyone sleep inside the dome tent, which should be warmer than individual tents. I recommend winter sleeping pads or 2 pads etc. My personal cutoff for ice climbing is around -15C, so if the forecast is -20C for the weekend this trip may not happen.
The road may be challenging, so we will try to carpool and then caravan out. If any info is available closer to, I will share it with everyone.
