Itinerary:
Let's go ice climbing to SARS! This area has a variety of single pitch climbs with difficulty ranging from WI2 to WI4+. We'll plan to toprope, but if folks would like to lead or work on other skills we can make that happen too. Beginners, Intermediates, and Advanced ice climbers are all welcome. We'll adjust group numbers based on experience of participants to ensure our group has the right skillset to have a good day. As a minimum, everyone must be able to give a good top rope belay.
Required Items to Bring:
Helmet, harness, ice tools, belay device, crampons (check they fit your boots BEFORE the trip), boots, hiking pole, warm & water resistant clothing, lots of gloves..... standard ice climbing gear. Contact the trip leaders if you have any questions.

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   07:00 AM
Carpool Location:

Notes:
We'll be coordinating with the 5-7-0 team, and may join up with them throughout the day. This trip is part of ice review.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
