Heavy Backpack- No worries, gear will be hauled-in by sled.
Skiers- also hauled-in by sled most of the way.
Remote area in the Purcels popular with hikers/mountaineers in summer. Accessed from Duncan Lake north of Kaslo BC.
Plan is to explore the area and ski the terrain.
Winter camping's a blast because you don't have to leave the incredible powder terrain at the end of the day. However, after a night or two it is nice to dry-out one's mitts and boot liners. For that reason, in advance of the trip we'll have a basecamp wall tent set up with a woodburning stove. Individual's tents and other gear still required. There will be a fee to cover costs for sled, fuel etc likely around $200 to be determined.
NOTES:
THE DATES ARE AN ESTIMATE AND CAN CHANGE. I'M LOOKING FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST. TRIP LENGTH 5 - 6 DAYS. WINTER CAMPING EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIRED BUT YOU'LL NEED APPROPRIATE GEAR. I CAN HELP WITH QUESTIONS.
