This trip is to the beautiful Skoki area, near Lake Louise.
We will tour in mostly Simple terrain from the Skoki Lodge parking (near Lake Louise), up the ski out and then above Temple Lodge to follow the trail out to Skoki.
After Boulder pass we will head up towards Hidden Lake. If the Avy conditions are High or Extreme we will likely just ski out to Ptarmigan Lake instead.
Note that this tour is more of a mellow tour, so don't expect many turns. There are a few turns coming down from Hidden Lake, but the beauty of this trip are the tranquility and the views.
The itinerary will include transceiver practice and digging a pit once in the Skoki Backcountry.
The location may change based on conditions and weather. In severe High or Extreme conditions the trip may be cancelled
This is a great trip to work on endurance and being on your AT gear.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
