Itinerary:
This trip is open to intermediates and up - you should have some back country experience under your belt and be confident skiing tight trees Friday night we show up at Our Lady of the Assumption school parking lot. From there we'll roll out to Golden, BC where we'll be staying at the best place in town - the Dreamcatcher Hostel. Saturday and Sunday we're going Pow Hunting - and trust me, it'll be out there because Rogers Pass ALWAYS delivers. We'll likely be going high to find that powder, so expect some sore early season legs. Rogers Pass is the land of tight trees and scary alpine - the plan is to tour up high, lap the Pow higher and then ski down through the trees. Expect to put in 1200-1500m days. Saturday night we'll be doing a group potluck. I'll rope a volunteer or two to help me with a main course and others will handle appies or desert. Everyone should do the Rogers Pass Winter Restrictions quiz so that we can all pick up our season's passes on Saturday and then skip the lines Sunday - if you've got questions about that process, just let me know.
