7:00 PM - Doors open & refreshments served!
'Spearhead: Pushing the Boundaries of BC's Backcountry'
Nestled between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains in British Columbia, the Spearhead Traverse is a classic winter route renowned for its incredible terrain. 'Spearhead: Pushing the Boundaries of BC's Backcountry' celebrates the history of the route, first skied in 1964, while asking how do we manage the impact on these spaces as they gain popularity.
'Electric Greg'
A carbon neutral quest to become a better adventurer.
Record-breaking mountain endurance athlete, Greg Hill, has never shied away from a goal. Through his time spent in the mountains he's seen the effects of climate change first-hand and came to realize the way he was approaching the mountains was only making the problem worse. Two years ago he changed his approach and set out to climb 100 peaks without burning any fossil fuels. But the question is: will it make a difference?
FREE SKI & BOARD WAXING
Get snow ready! Bring your skis (downhill or Nordic) or board for a free wax. Waxing will be done by MEC staff. The wax machine will be rolling all night! Most people will be able to take their gear home that evening. Any sets not completed that evening will be ready for pick up within three days. Waxing will be done on a first come first serve basis.
TUNES
DJ Anput will be in the house spinning the vibes.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
