Itinerary:
Alpine touring in Waterton National Park is an obscure place considering we have Rogers Pass, Icefields Parkway and Golden all in our back yard. There are great lines, trees and ridges and if mother nature agrees, snow to be had. Shame, the area does get hit hard with cold weather and winds. So, plan to come with a big sense of adventure. Popular lines include Forum, Ridge, Rowe Bowl and SW peak of Carthew

If you can't make the scheduled New Years Eve trip to Cameron Lake Cabin, here is your opportunity.

The entire Cabin has been reserved for our group, total 8.

Departing January 9, we will travel to Waterton, arrange ourselves and ski in ~15km along the Akimamina Parkway. Yes, a long approach. Ski, eat, bevies, repeat. Return home end of January 12.

We will plan for "cooking buddies" to prepare group dinners. Breakfast, lunches and bevies up to your own planning. Albeit a long approach to the Cabin, perhaps consider a pulk, drag a dry bag or other approach which eases the load on your shoulders and ensures great culinary pantry. No freeze dried meals here!

Please come with a big sense of adventure!

The cost per person is $120 including wilderness passes.

Please wait until after the Trip Leader has responded to you with regards to your eligibility and then to pay for the trip.

Payment can be made via PayPal on the button below.

Once you send me a copy of the PayPal receipt, I will move you from the waiting to the attendee list.

Required Items to Bring:
All your AT gear. Beacon, shovel, probe and experience / practice using them. Sleeping bag, food for four days, and pack that fits all your gear. All conditions clothing.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Whatever makes you comfortable and smiling for a few days in the mountains.

Notes:
This is not a fast paced trip, rather moderate, enjoy ourselves and if you prefer racing to the mountain top and endless laps, perhaps this isn't the trip for you. Steady and safe!

Happy to accommodate cancellations if you can find a suitable replacement. Once moved to the participant list you are confirmed.
Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.

Trip Feedback
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, concerning this trip or any other, we want to hear from you! You can send any feedback you may have to the Section Chair.
