Itinerary: |
Let's go mountain biking in Bragg Creek
Plan A is ranger summit to snakes and ladders, to ridgeback to bobcat to strange brew. You can look up this route on trail forks to see the distance and elevation gain, but with minimal breaks it takes about 3 hours
This loops is quite smooth an flowy, with a lot of climbing but nothing too technical.
Plan B is pneuma to race of spades, since this dries out faster. This loop includes more technical climbing and descending, but is a shorter total loop. All of the trail features on race of spades (wood things) can be skipped, so the trail can be ridden at a blue level of difficulty if those are avoided.
If possible, the group will carpool from Calgary, but otherwise we can all meet in Bragg Creek
It is very important that you have a working bike, as I may not have tools to fix your bike if it does have a problem.
Everyone should bring a basic repair kit which includes a spare tire, pump, alan key set etc. I will also have a shock pump and some other tools

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review our participant responsibility guidelines!
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
