Itinerary:
This is a good intro to multi-pitch sport climbing. IS THIS EVENT FOR ME? Yes if... ... you are comfortable on friction slab to 5.7 ... you know how to provide a safe belay for someone on lead ... you are comfortable with rappelling ... you have some outdoor climbing experience but would like to try a multi-pitch Participant selection will be at the leader's discretion.
Required Items to Bring:
Climbing gear: helmet, harness, belay/rappel device with HMS-type locking carabiner, PAS with locking carabiner, prussic with carabiner, chalk bag, climbing shoes. Clothing: approach shoes, shell jacket (can be shady and windy), climbing clothes

Recommended Items to Bring:
headlamp, walking pole, water, food to eat on the go, small and confortable backpack to carry clothing and food during the climb.

Carpool Directions:   We'll use either the Our Lady of the Assumption school or the Petropass on Hwy 1

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
