Weather is not looking great for rock climbing so let's go
scratch some rocks with tools! Plan is to spend the day
cragging at The Playgroud.
Beginners are welcome but must be comfortable top rope
belaying. I am happy to put up the ropes and provide tips and
encouragement! If other leaders want to join that would be
great.
My partner and I have room for two in our car. Alternatively we
can meet at the parking lot. I can provide directions if needed.
If we haven't climbed together before just send me a quick
email with your experience or if you have any questions.
Required Items to Bring:
Mountainneering Boots, Crampons (ideally mono's),
Harness, Helmet, Belay Device, Ice Tools,
Food, Water, Clothes (bring warm layers it can be cold).
Gear can also be rented for the day if needed.
Rope and anchor if you have them.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Calgary Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
