COVID 19 Info: Please protect yourself and others. On single day trips please practice social distancing. Masks are recommended when within 2m of non-cohort participants. On multiday trips you are considered to be in a cohort with the other participants and specific safety measures are the discretion of the trip coordinator. Parkers Ridge, Highway 93N

We can potentially expand the group size if
there are more leaders.
We will go to Parker's ridge and practice
arresting, steep snow climbing techniques,
anchors and other skills like glissading. Time
permitting, we'll practice crevasse rescue.
We will depart from the hostel Saturday
morning, so the exact carpool time and details
will be sorted out Friday evening with
Required Items to Bring:
Helmet, mountaineering boots, ice axe, harness.
Appropriate clothing to spend the day out.
Water-proof pants, gaiters, multiple gloves.
Sunscreen, food, water, lots of gloves and/or
waterproof gloves. You will get wet.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non- recoverable costs).
The Calgary Section of the Alpine Club of Canada is a not for profit / flow through course and trip provider. We organize courses and trips based on member demand and divide any costs that we incur between event attendees. In other words, we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
